Spanish Wells, the Berry Islands and the Abacos, Bahamas - May, 2006
Little Woody, the pilot who took us through the Devil's
Backbone, tied his boat to our stern and took control of ZIA.
The view of Spanish Wells as you approach from the Devil's
Backbone.
The girls' favorite way to ride in the dinghy, going into
Spanish Wells.
A beachfront house in Spanish Wells and the view of the beach
from the house.
Posing for a picture at sunset in The Berrys.
The beautiful clear water of the Berry Islands.
Another spectacular sunset.
Cassie climbed up the forestay to get a better view of the
setting sun.
Along the path to the Blue Hole on Hoffman Cay.
The ledge that Joe jumped off is above and there is a nice place
to climb out of the water at this level. This is where we
made friends with "Mick."
We were in the middle of school later that afternoon when we
heard this big engine very close by. We looked up to
discover a huge sloop that had run aground not far from us.
Luckily the maneuvered far enough away so they weren't any
danger to us.
With Celine and Anouk from CENOU in Marsh Harbour.
Larson's first (or was it his second) dinner of his trip with
Rike and Claude from CENOU.
I just never get sick of the sunsets......
We escaped the uninviting waters of Marsh Harbour for Baker's
Bay in Great Guana and enjoyed an afternoon of swimming and
monkeying around.
Nippers........
