Today, as we panned, we went to the waterfalls. Just in
case we brought bathing suits. And boy was the entrance
fee expensive for just 8 people!! Are friends Celine and
Anouck had come along with parents.
After we paid we went to the bathroom and, guess what!!
You had to pay to get in. Anyway we walked on for a few
more minutes saw the falls. It looked like a huge bunch
of snow growing out of the rock then falling down to
make a mini blizzard. There was a bridge branching
across the huge pool at the bottom of the falls and
people were swimming in that pool! So naturally we
begged our parents to go swimming and naturally they
said: “We’ll take a short little walk and get a little
hot.” This, in their language, means, “We’ll go take a
200 mile walk and wait until we’re sweating pools of
sweat.” But I was glad we took that walk anyway. There
were lots of nice little streams and such. After while
we saw something that I wasn’t sure whether it was a
donkey or mule and then we saw a guy making cornflower!
Then there was a water thingamajig
that twirled, bumped, jiggered and shook. Then we walked
back towards the falls and ate lunch, a cheeseburger and
crepe. Then we went back to the falls and jumped in,
even though it was cold!!
