Isola Vulcano

Isola Vulcano is an awesome place with an active volcano. We chilled a few days with our friends Celine and Anouck and then, guess what! We climbed an active volcano. First though let me tell you a little more about Celine, Anouck and Isola Vulcano. Celine is almost 12 and she’s extremely nice for a 12 year old. She lives on a boat too, like us. Her boats named Cenou. Her sister, Anouck, is 8, my age. She is nice too, so I guess it runs in the family. Isola Vulcano is off the west coast of Italy, north of Sicily. Ok, now the volcano. We walked like a quarter of a mile to get to the volcano, mostly uphill, then we came to a rocky, sandy and very hot because there was no shade at all, only a little occasionally. But we walked up...

Had a rest and went on walking...

Up and up

It was pretty tiring, I have to say.

But we eventually got to the top and it was awesome, a bunch sulfury steam floating around the ground, sometimes hiding our feet. Sulfur is smelly stuff (It smells a lot like rotten eggs) I’m not exactly sure what. Just for your pleasure, here are more pictures.
